We visited Osky to see our youngest son play Lacrosse at WPU. "The Cabin" is breathtaking and a home away from home. We cooked, baked and enjoyed famiyl meals. We enjoyed coffee & lunch at Smokey Row & got chicken at Taso's (& pizza too!!) We ran the trail around the lake, if you stick to the left it's 2.6 miles. And our absolute favorite was kayaking and paddleboarding the lake!  (And swimming at the beach.)

The home was so cozy and welcoming. The hosts were top notch! (Thank you!!) The perfect getaway for our groupd of 12, celebrating a 50th Anniversary.

Enjoyed our stay here with our children and grands. Had plenty of space which is hard to find at times. Lots of indoor games got play if weather doesn't allow outdoor activity. Greatly appreciated use of 4 kayak's and a peddle pontoon that allowed all of us out on the lake together, as I brought my three kayaks too. Caught and released several largemouth bass during our time on the water as well. Girls too a time in town to get a pedicure while the guys stayed and fished! This is a nice place not too far away for us and gave the feeling of being up in one of the resorts in upper Minnesota We did not have any issues with mosquitos and ticks at all, which we would have in Minn. Melissa aka Missy was great to work with and did everything she could got make sure we had all our needs taken car of. I would return here again without hesitation.

We stayed at Missy & Chris's Cabin for our first annual adult sibling's retreat and needless to say, we already can't wait to book again for next year! When we walked into the cabin everyone was in awe with how unique the space looked. My spouse and I immediately looked at what listings were for sale near by on Zillow as soon as we got home because of how wonderful our stay was! Lake Keomah and the cabin will be a repeat stop for us for years to come until we can become a resident ourselves! So peaceful and relaxing. Great, spacious but still cozy place to stay. We liked the fireplace in the living room and the large game/tv room. We all had a wonderful time at this fun gem in the middle of Iowa. The lake is beautiful and having access to a private dock allowed for fishing and fun on the lake in the paddle pontoon boat. The kids also loved the hot tub, pool table and big yard to play soccer in.

We were seeking a place that would satisfy multiple age ranges and with the lake, the jacuzzi, pool table, toys, and plenty of space to spread out, this was a great spot.

We had a great stay at the cabin for a 2 night stay! The cabin was very clean when we arrived and the hosts seemed to have thought of everything to make the stay perfect! We enjoyed the large living spaces to spread out, along with all of the amenities like the pool, ping pong, pool table, board games, bikes, fire pit, etc. The icing on the cake would have been with Lake Keomah being available for use, but we went to the White Oak Lake about 12 minutes away for some great fishing. We were looking for a 4 bedroom property near a lake with activities for our 9 and 12 year old boys. This met and exceeded our requirements. We had plenty of room to spread out, lots of options for activities, and plenty of peace and quiet. The boy spent time on the water and skating around the neighborhood. My mother-in-law relaxed in the various rooms in the house. My brother-in-law was able to call in to some Zoom meetings for work between fishing jaunts. The guys put in the fishing boat at both Keomah Lake and Red Rock Lake. Everything was super easy, and it was no trouble to hop into town for dinner when we didn’t feel like cooking. I would love to live in a place like this.

House was well stocked with everything we needed and more. Just a short walk to the dock and a very nice pontoon paddle boat. The whole family enjoyed the large hot tub. There was quite a heat wave when we arrived and the air conditioning took a day to catch up. Chris offered to bring fans, but there were already plenty in the house. You should know there are no heating and cooling vents in the bedrooms, so everyone has to sleep with the doors open. That wasn’t a problem for us, but with some traveling crews it could be. It was a nice place for our family to get together and enjoy a relaxing week.

Note from Christian and Melissa with ARI: We remedied the heating and cooling. We had hoped the units bought would have come in in a timely manner. We are very thankful now to report that while over $14,000 was spent, each room is able to be heated and cooled with the door closed now!

The Cabin is in a wonderful location near the water and with a layout that allows plenty of room for even the largest groups. There is a large dining room table and another games table by the pool table. Plenty of seating in large couches and other chairs. Highly recommended.

The word my fellow travelers used most for describing the cabin when we got there and explored the number of rooms was "cozy". There are a number of couches and seating areas and nooks and niches in and around the place that invite you to plop down and browse one of the many books sitting on the shelves. But you may not want to just read a book because there is so much else to do and see. Play a round of boccia in the vast backyard shaded by large trees. Or go canoeing, or hike around the lake. Or listen to the sounds of the woods from the veranda, or ... In short, if you get bored here it's your problem.
